Heartland Dental, the nation’s largest dental support organization (DSO) announced that it now supports more than 1,000 offices, with 1,600 dentists, across 37 states. This is particularly noteworthy as they are the first DSO in the nation to surpass 1,000 supported offices.
Patrick Bauer, who serves as CEO at Heartland Dental, said, “starting out over 22 years ago, Heartland Dental provided services for a handful of dental practices in one state. Now, reaching this momentous occasion of supporting 1,000 offices is a testament to our doctor focused culture. I believe we’ll continue to grow because dentists increasingly value how our services are laser-focused on their needs and distinctly enhance their ability to focus on patient care.”
The milestone was passed when Miami Lakes Cosmetic Dentistry affiliated with Heartland. It was their 1,000th office nationwide and the 208th Heartland supported dental office in Florida. Dr. Johnny Peralta, DMD, owns Miami Lakes Cosmetic Dentistry and said, “I found myself without an office manager to handle daily business responsibilities of the practice. Heartland Dental’s non-clinical services not only helped me discover extra hours to grow my practice but allowed me extra time to spend with my family.”
Heartland Dental traces its roots back to 1997, when it was founded by Dr. Rick Workman. On passing the 1,000 supported office mark, Dr. Workman, who now serves as the company’s executive chairman, said, “Heartland Dental’s significant growth is a combination of the trust that dentists place in our support services and the dedication of our network of business and support professionals. We have built a company culture around serving dentists’ needs and continually advance our level of non-clinical support to help these practitioners discover rewarding success.
Heartland Dental is majority owned by KKR, a leading global investment firm.
